Benefits of Having the Best Lanes in the Business

We recently gave you a list of five reasons to join Dynamic Transit and what it’s like as one of our over-the-road drivers. Our new, reliable equipment, updated technology and elite command center provide our drivers with the tools for success. Our family atmosphere makes us a place drivers want to work. Above all, we strive to successfully serve our customers. We achieve this by thoroughly training and supporting our drivers and other staff members.

Our support team is comprised of our dispatchers and fleet managers. These talented professionals make up an essential part of our streamlined operations and therefore are responsible for multiple tasks. They work as a team to tender load assignments to drivers. They refer customer problems on loads to one of our customer service representatives. Furthermore, they focus on helping drivers effectively and efficiently utilize their hours of service. In addition, they have the benefit of our state-of-the-art command center. This allows them to communicate with our drivers and customers and internal teams. Because of this, they can track the movement of our fleet while planning loads to guarantee on-time delivery.

We’re proud of our ability to build strong relationships and consistency on defined lanes. It’s certainly another key to our success and driver retention. We offer consistent density on strategically-defined lanes to accomplish on-time deliveries to customers of all types. This includes mass merchandisers, retail, manufacturing, distribution centers, production sites and more. Additionally, we provide short, regional- and long-haul transportation solutions throughout a 48-state operating authority.  As a result, we are able to and strategically manage our network by utilizing our lane knowledge and authority through the Midwest, Pacific Northwest, Southwest and Eastern states.

A Strategic Focus

Why is having defined lanes so important to us? As a result of defined lanes, drivers have approximately the same mileage each week and spend less time searching for parking in an unfamiliar area or doing other time-consuming activities. Thus, they’re better able to plan their workload. Likewise, they can easily become familiar with the route and the stops – i.e. fuel, food, showers – on it.

Most Dynamic Transit drivers average 2,500-3,000 miles per week. They do this through the following strategically-defined lanes that are forecast for years to come:

St. Louis area:
  • Edwardsville, IL to CO, UT, ID, OR, WA, AZ
  • Neely’s Landing, MO to Lubbock, Amarillo, Odessa, TX and ABQ, NM
Other areas:
  • St. Joseph, MO, Sioux City, IA and Guymon, OK to Midwest, UT, WA, AZ, CA
  • Colorado to St. Louis, OH, IL, WI, IN, MI, KY
  • Utah and Idaho to St. Louis, OH, IL, WI, IN, MI, KY, TN
  • Washington, Oregon to Kansas City, St. Louis, OH, IL, WI, IN, MI, KY, TN
  • California and Arizona to Kansas City, St. Louis, OH, IL, WI, IN, MI, KY, TN
  • OH, IN, MI, KY, TN, IL, WI to St. Louis or Kansas City

Appreciable Advantages

Due to well-established lanes, trucking companies can enjoy abundant benefits. Here are a few:

Reduced waste
Operational efficiency
Strategic vendor relationships
Improved knowledge of lane rates
Enhanced stability
Consistent service levels

These combined advantages make it easier for our drivers. Because of this, they can be more productive and profitable. Consequently, they’re able to do their job knowing they have the best tools and resources in place.
